You Have (3) New Eurotrash Crush Messages!!!

Posted on August 21st, 2008 in Affiliate Marketing, Facebook

If you're tired of refreshing this page every day like a d-bag, you should probably subscribe to the RSS feed.

It’s been a while since Cakes posted the super-popular gaming campaign (read: Still Can’t Make Money With Facebook Ads?) which consistantly gets hits every day despite that campaign being gone for months.  So it seems like a good time to put another good one out there.

Almost every day someone PM’s Nickycakes asking if facebook ads are “dead.”  Well, the answer is obviously no, since there are still plenty of people running ads.  But yeah, it may be a little more difficult to turn a profit now than it was in the beginning when you could fill your $500 budget in an hour with 3 cent clicks, but certainly not impossible.  Far from it.

Anyway, here’s pretty much everything you need to know to get started with this one.  Enjoy, run it while it lasts:

[Alright, at the advertisers request, this post is being edited.  You're on your own to find a UK mobile crush offer. Sorry guys! Looks like cakes readers ran so much traffic to the landing page and they couldn't handle it.  Suggestion to them: Shell out $300 a month for decent hosting and stop complaining about people trying to throw money at you, idiots.]

Apparently, it’s working great on socialmedia as well.  For socialmedia, since the ad guidelines are much more relaxed, you’ll want to make an ad that looks like one of those tried and true “You have (3) new crush messages!!” or something along those lines, which seems to work wonders for the naive teen myspace crowd.

Peeps are reporting $1k/day profits with this already, so jump on before it dies.

Keep it real.

  4. Chad Says:

You haven’t had any tracking issues with CX cakes?

  5. nickycakes Says:

  7. Harrison Gevirtz Says:

Problem with socialmedia.com is they dont treat there advertisers well. I was there biggest advertiser from February-July when they froze my account and ignored me regarding my $32,000.00 account balance. In my book, Socialmedia.com is a risk if you want to advertise there

  8. coglethorpe Says:

LOL Websense said CX was “Potentially Unwanted Software” I’ll try signing up from a different PC.

  9. Jack Says:

Cakes, are you direct linking the campaign?

  10. nickycakes Says:

direct linking should work fine =)

  11. Andy Says:

The content advertised by this ad is restricted. Per sections 8 and 9 of Facebook’s Advertising Guidelines, this content is prohibited from being advertised on Facebook. Ads for this product, service or site will not be accepted in any form, and may result in your account being disabled.

Not gonna risk getting my account disabled (again).

  16. Andrew Says:

    Yo Cakes…

I had a question about the international campaigns that have IP restrictions. How do you get those approved on Facebook if the interns can’t see the Landing Page for a UK offer for example?

  17. nickycakes Says:

@andrew: I used to redirect to something that wasnt geotargeted till it got approved and then switch it =)

  18. Mubin Says:

Cakes, if you speak with your AM can you get them to fast track my application?

    I’m not patient! :)

  19. nickycakes Says:

Prolly gonna have to wait till monday man.

  20. circa Says:

  21. Mubin Says:

    I hate waiting.

  22. JohnW Says:

  23. Lorne Fade Says:

nice setup, check out craigslist for a cheap herman miller chair, you dont need that ghetto shit :p

  24. Ad Hustler Says:

Looks like they have removed or made this offer private (although they are still pimping it on the login page). I started running it and wasn’t seeing the clicks track so i went to the affiliate link again and it said “Your subscription to this campaign needs to be approved by merchant.” I then went back on CX, searched for the campaign again and it dissapeared. Very strange.

Would also be nice if CX told you when they were pulling an offer or making it private. Luckily I was only pushing a few clicks when I found this but if I did some big media buy or spent $1,000 on PPC I would have someones head over there.

  25. Fencing Says:

Is CX not offering this offer any more? If not that’s a shame I was going to get in on it.

  26. Martin Says:

YO Cakes, can u hook me up with
incentaclick ? i always got denied. Added u on msn.
