LOL, I was a silent lurker until I read this post. One thing I think is funny is that most people nowadays forgot that the word hacker was horribly misconstrued in the same way. Hacking in itself does not signify anything illegal, in the original sense of the word.

On the blackhat / whitehat note, lots of marketers call automation software blackhat, but I think it’s just logical when you take away all the silly tags people throw on things. Why push all those buttons yourself when a non-breathing, non-resting, non-eating, machine who doesn’t talk back to you can do it for free and at a fraction of the time cost?
