The REAL ASW 2010 Party List

Ok, first of all, if you haven’t heard yet:

Feel free to sign up.  Yes, there are other parties Sunday night.  Yes, this is the best one.  In case you forgot what happened at the last party Nickycakes and PPC.bz put on…. If you don’t know, now you know.

Alright, so with that out of the way, if you’re going to Affiliate Summit West 2010, you’ve probably been looking around for a decent list of parties to go to.  There are a few lists out there, and as usual, they all suck.  Unless your idea of a fun party is singing Karaoke and playing Wii with Shareasale instead of poppin’ bottles of crissy at one of the awesome Vegas clubs.

Here’s a list of real parties, almost all of which are invite-only but if you ask you can probably get on the lists for without too much groveling.

Saturday

affiliate.com – They’re (apparently) having a small shindig at Rain nightclub in Palms, which is also listed as the venue for the buy.at party on saturday night, meaning buy.at must not actually be renting the whole thing out, big ballers that they are.

Sunday

Ok, for whatever reason, most everyone thought it a good idea to schedule their parties for Sunday evening, so there are a bunch of really good ones, and not enough time to hit them all.  In no particular order, these are some of the good ones:

Nickycakes / PPC.bz / Neverblue / Plenty of FishAs mentioned above, Neverblue and Plenty of Fish are sponsoring a Nickycakes/PPC.bz collabo.  The party hosted by Cakes and Barman (ppc.bz) at Adtech SF was probably the most off the hook party to ever hit an industry event, although there was no AC.  This time there will be guaranteed air conditioning, and the bar probably won’t start charging half way through!  This will be at one of the fun Palms suites which host the majority of the big ASW parties since Palms is right across the street from the show.  There will be affiliate rap battles, probably some sort of hired dancers, gold chains, diamonds, people makin’ it rain all over the place, firebreathing dragons, the usual.

Ads4Dough

In one of the strongest power-moves in affiliate marketing party history, Ads4Dough has successfully rented out a large portion of the best strip club in Vegas, the Spearmint Rhino.  Since his family occasionally reads this blog, Nickycakes can neither confirm nor deny having ever personally attended such a venue, but hypothetically, if he HAD, it would probably have been awesomeeeeeee.  The guest list for this is probably completely full, but you can give it your best shot!

Copeac

Copeac, home of some of Nickycakes’ favorite people in the biz, is having a party at not one, but THE two best clubs in Vegas.  It starts out at Tryst in the Wynn, and then the afterparty is at XS at Encore.  These clubs, on the weekends at least, you can’t even get a table with a black card unless you have at least as many 10’s as you have guys.

Karaktr / Some others –

They’re hosting a pretty big 2-part party starting at a suite at the Palms Place Penthouse Party Suite featuring food, dj, and the Toronto Argonauts cheerleaders.  Then there’s an after-party at Lavo in the Palazzo starting at midnight.

Monday

CX Digital

They’ll be hosting their usual Roll Like a Billionaire party at one of the Palms Sky Villas.  Last year they had a pretty good party with some awesome food and some bodypainted hired chicks. Probably don’t want to miss this one either.  The CX employees are known for their ability to party.  If you’re an employee at another network or just some affiliate who has never worked with them, be prepared to told to f-off if you try to get in.  Last year that guy Nate Whitehill (you know, the guy who makes all the shitty overpriced blog designs for all the ego bloggers) tried to sneak in some other nobodies and got rejected pretty bad.  It was pretty fun to watch.

Azoogle

Also having some palms suite party.  Theirs will bein the Playboy suite, which is much like the other sky villas but a bit bigger.

Mundo Media

Also having some palms party.  If you don’t know who Mundo Media is, that’s where “Frank Riberio” wound up after leaving CX.  If you’ve never heard of a former CX employee named “Frank Riberio” then imagine someone with the same first initial but had to change his name for the new company for some reason.

See you there, and keep it real!
