Moron Monday: Staying Focused, Doing Something
One common mistake that many internet marketing peeps make, newbies and vets alike, is not staying focused. You’ll often hear about people who spend their first few months in the industry doing nothing but reading forums, reading blogs, wondering what they’re going to do to make money. These are the people you hear complaining lots on digital point about why they can’t seem to make more than 50 cents a day with adsense.
The first thing you need to do is stop reading forums and blogs. If you absolutely must, do this crap at night before you go to bed or whatever, or if you need to get a specific bit of information that’s going to help you with what you’re currently working on.
Second, stop refreshing your stats all day. Nickycakes had this problem in the beginning. Refreshing your earnings all day is going to do NOTHING to make you more money.
Use this time instead to build something, or improve on one of the sites you’ve already got going. When Nickycakes needs to get something done, he only keeps open PSPad (for writing code) and a browser with the site he’s building, along with possibly photoshop and a console window. Having a bunch of IM windows and crap open just leads to chatting all day and never accomplishing anything.

Something else you might wanna talk about on the topic of focus is to focus on one area of making money online.
It’s easy for a newbie to jump place to place with the myriad of options we have in affiliate marketing. Bum marketing…PPC marketing…Facebook social ads…craiglist…find one thing, and stick with it until you succeed.
yep, good point.
