Make Bank With Starcraft 2 Beta
In general, video gaming traffic has been next to worthless, probably because a lot of it is underage and have no credit cards. Well, right now, if you follow games at all, Starcraft 2 is in closed beta. It has been really hard to get keys and they’ve been selling on ebay for over $100 each, down from around $500 in the beginning.
Today, pre-orders at GameStop opened, and beta keys are being included with every pre-order. And whaddya know? They have an affiliate program at Linkshare. Oh and whaddya know, I don’t see links to the pre-order on the frontpage of any social sites yet…. Oh and what else do ya know.. gaming traffic is still cheap as hell…
Nickycakes hasn’t been accepted to the gamestop affiliate program, but if you have, you’d be retarded not to jump on it. This is likely going to be the biggest pc video game release in history and you should try and get your cut of the action.

I’ve never used linkshare for much, and I think i have nickycakes.com listed as my website on there, which may or may not be classified as inappropriate content.
i click apply and it takes me back to the same page everytime, checked the pending section gamestop is not in there.

MW2 sold 1bil in the first 2 months. there are plenty of free ways to promote this. For example posting the news on any gaming site that you can get into the beta at gamestop and dropping your aff link. or submitting to social sites like i mentioned above. free money dude.

It probably won’t be the best selling PC release in history, but it should be close. I wouldn’t be surprised if Diablo 3 outsells it. I can’t wait for the streams and leagues to start up though. SC2 is interesting as hell to watch.
there are already some pretty awesome streams and tourneys. check out the hdstarcraft and huskystarcraft youtube chans for high level game commentary.

So how would you promote? Clearly Search is too expensive. Facebook? Even that might be expensive…..Maybe PPV?
MW2 sold 1 billion dollars? good lord were in the wrong business haha but ive been waiting for SC2 for years glad its almost here, the affiliate program is interesting but not my kinda thing, curious to see how it pans out
I was accepted into the program and started running the offer on FB. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be converting. I'm over 700 clicks in with 0 conversions. I haven't used Linkshare before so I don't know how fast their tracking is for conversions.

Damn I really couldn’t stop thinking about this stupid post and after watching like 3 hours of SC 2 replays on youtube I had to go pull the trigger and pre order it. Still waiting on my beta invite. There goes my productivity for the next 6 months
guys, the same offer is on amazon..also provides the beta code with purchase……and amazon pays better than linkshare….plus amazon converts well for product sales b'c people know they have low prices
sadly, amazon takes 5 days to email out the beta keys
I got my key ‘emailed’ the next day.
ive read a lot of comments on reddit that say they had to wait 5 days. gamestop is like 1 hour

It is crazy how much gamers are willing to spend. I guess that is why social games are so big and why dating offers are raking it in big time.
hmm I have not had much luck with the gaming campaigns but have done pretty well with the dating sites.
