Google Sues “Google Cash” Bizop and Affiliates

Well, yesterday Google filed a lawsuit against Pacific Webworks who runs some of those “Google Cash” type offers. They’re suing for Trademark Infringement, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. Nickycakes has long wondered how these people can run these offers with the Google logo displayed in their own logo and not get sued.
They used names such as:
- Google Adwork
- Google ATM
- Google Biz Kit
- Google Cash
- Earn Google Cash Kit
- Google Fortune
- Google Marketing Kit
- Google Profits
- The Home Business Kit for Google
- Google StartUp Kit
- Google Works
For those who are unfamiliar with this type of business, basically, they offer a “Google Cash” kit which promises to teach you how to earn thousands a month by “Posting links on Google.” You are supposed to pay $1.99 or something for shipping, and after the “trial period” you are billed a monthly fee, usually around $80. The trial period is usually something like a week or two, and the whole idea is that the customers won’t realize that it’s actually a monthly service and think they’re getting the whole thing for $1.99 “shipping.”
Anyway, that’s no real big news itself, however, the lawsuit also names 50 “John Doe” affiliates as well, but does not yet know their names. Fortunately, Nickycakes was able to do some public record legal document detective work and come up with some of the websites named in the suit. These sites pretty much all still seem to be up and running, so if one of them is yours, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.
The list of allegedly infringing domain names:
- ajobwithgoogle.com
- bradsgooglemoney.com

There are also affiliates named in the suit, but it seems they have withheld the complete list of those sites. There are a few examples listed:
- newyorkgazettenews.com
- bengetsgreen.com
- adamhasmoney.com
- bradsnewjob.com
- net-news-daily.com
- losangeles-reporter.com
It seems Google will be naming more people as they figure out who owns more of the domains that they have not listed, and Nickycakes will do his best to post them as they are made available.
Remember: Many Bothans died to bring us this information.
Keep it real.

Excellent detective work. I can only hope some of these webmasters will respond here in the peanut gallery.
They only owe us 3k – thankfully. Nice post Nicky!
hope you weren’t holding any pacific webworks stock lol
FML
phew!
Gotta know the limits sometimes….
Good to know none of my sites are on there, however I wonder what I could/should do to be in compliance, I don’t want google to bring the hammer down on me
The Bothans will be remembered.

2 years ago, the GoogleMoneyPro ebook was my introduction to ppc & affiliate marketing. I got started doing exactly what the ebook outlined. It now redirects to g-moneypro.
That guy was selling his GMP ebook w/o issue, until all the Google rebill offers hit the scene.
Merry Christmas
Love Google
phew, thank god Kevin Hoeffer is safe.
Fuck, looks like I’m going to have to go back to my boring job as a manufacturing rep now.
Yea, that’s what I think sometimes. How can all these “opportunities” exist when they actually build their “credibility” on another people’s/sytsem’s success.
Funny to see all these pages I actually remember visiting some of those during my daily browsing routines
Wtf is a Bothan?

Tis the Season!!
Wow, with
-Dazzle Smile/ suing Azoogle
-the real “Google Cash” Chris Carpenter deciding to make his original system a free download this week and
-Adwords disableing a few hundred (thousand) affiliate accounts Dec 2nd and 3rd
it is a changing world
supposed to be a “?” after the word thousand in my comment

Hope it’s still the same as when I clicked… until the suit broadens.
I click the MU link to download the court filing and get the ol’ “Jobless Mom Makes $81/hour” ad for http://www.thelosangelesjournal.com. Talk about irony!
haha
lolz at the poor .info guy….
adapt or die…
also… i wonder how many “newspaper type” domains are gonna be available soon….
Thing is, they have yet to officially announce the defendants yet though. They probably have all the information they need for each and everyone of these companies and they are in the crosshairs but so far it hasn’t said which ones they are officially suing. Hence, look at the title page where it defines “Defendants”:
Pacific Web Works and 1-50 John Doe’s
Thing is, doesn’t take much for them to sue more on top of the 50 Doe’s, as Nicky said, this is a “non-exhaustive list” and they will be posting individual information later. Their language is also very wordy as most legal documents go so they can bend a lot. We’ll see how things go I guess.
Your comment box is too fucking small for proof reading!
If it bothers you then I sleep better at night.
Always wondered why Google never sued. I guess we should expect Twitter, Craigslist and the rest to follow now.
Wow this day was a long time coming
oprah was first, tho…
i think it hit the high water mark (as hunter thompson would say) when i saw some older black lady on youtube talking in a grandmotherly voice about posting links to google…
as jay z would say, on to the next one…
Purchasing a domain name with a trademark in it is not a very smart thing to do. I did when I first started and learned the lesson quickly.
gotta love ‘dis google.
They could register something like googlecourtcase.com, tigerwoodsfuckedgoogle.com or googlekilledmichaeljackson.com instead and rattle out some shite to sell.
Theres bound to be a bit of cash in those.
