Gizmodo Turns Off The TV. Hilarity Ensues.

If you're tired of refreshing this page every day like a d-bag, you should probably subscribe to the RSS feed.

CES (Consumer Electronics Something-or-other) is this big tech conference goin on in Vegas this week.  All the big name tech companies are out there showing off their new gear.  You know, those conferences where the companies send out their average to above average looking female spokespeople, or hire models, to show off the new stuff and hand out free gear or whatever.

So anyway, Gizmodo, this gadget blog, likes to play tech pranks on people.  This week at CES, they decided to bring a device that’s basically a universal TV remote with only one button: OFF.  Nickycakes doesn’t want to spoil it for you, so watch the video for yourself.

The Cakes was laughing so loud that the neighbors could hear him while watching these guys try to figure out why their tv’s kept turning off.  Man was it funny…

So anyway, john chow proceeds to make this post whining like a baby about how Gizmodo is giving bloggers a bad name at this crucial moment in blogging history:  When CES is finally recognizing blogging as legitimate media.  Basically what that means is that he was able to get a media pass to the event this year and he’s afraid they’ll yank it next year cause of gizmodo.  News Flash: BLOGGING ISN’T LEGITIMATE MEDIA.  It’s mostly idiots like john chow writing about what they had for dinner last night.  That’s not a trusted news source buddy, sorry.

If you check out the post on digg, you’ll see hundreds of angry comments talking about how they went “over the top” and should be sued, and all this other crap.  Dude, they turned off a few tv’s with a universal remote.  Get over it retards.  It was funny…no…hilarious.  Quit whining and get a sense of humor.

funny but a kind of a dick move to do during a presentation.

But I guess it’s true, any press is good press. I’m sure they got a shitload of traffic from all the people complaining about it.

This is deceptive marketing - getting bad publicity is still good publicity. That’s why tabloids always publish the worst stories on their front page. I also do the same at http://www.weightlossproactol.com

    Best. Prank. Ever.
