LOL, never knew about autoit until now :O… Keep up the excellent work!

  2. Mike Says:

Possible to elaborate on it? What is autoit and what does it do combined with the other things?

  3. nickycakes Says:

figure it out. it’s not that complicated.

  4. Rock Says:

Just wanted to add, for anyone wanting to do it with a Mac. RefControl + Automator + Automator Virtual Input = $$$$$$

  5. BlackHat - White Hat Says:

Clever - just took a peek at autoit - and see quite a few possibilities there.

  6. Someone from BWHacks Says:

smart! But I think some bots or spiders with fake referer would do the same. After you posted your refcontrol post a few days ago, I was searching the web for something like this. I found a old progy called “StarProse Referrer Advertising” but couldn’t find a download :(
So if anyone have it, pls post it here. Thx!

  7. Mike Says:

Ok, now I got it what the idea behind is, quite simple actually. But you would need to autostumble thousands of pages daily in order to have enough curious webmasters checking you out plus to make money from it.

What would be the best idea to monetize upon this?

  8. Mike Says:

If someone would like to share or sell a finished and working proggie to autostumble whole day in a Firefox tab let me know: mikegg [at] gmx [dot] de

  9. none Says:

Great tips! Any chance you would share your autoit code to help make this work Nickycakes?

  10. Wes Mahler Says:

honestly, I don’t get it, I’m missing something lol

  11. Rock Says:

Finally downloaded AutoIt on my PC. Been using my Mac a lot. Anyways, after about 10 minutes of googling and reading up on the syntax I wrote a quick 6 line mouseclick loop script that will click stumble how ever many times I designate it to. You could easily write a script that will loop until a keystroke is pressed and it would probably take less than 10 lines of code. Then you could just flip it on overnight and referrer bomb away, then wake up in the morning and shut it off.

  12. none Says:

Rock, would you be willing to share that? I can’t wrap my head around any type of coding even after reading 3 different tutorials supposedly for noobs lol.

Wes, I’m in the same boat. I do understand the concept and nickycakes is pretty clever, but us non programmers will have a harder time to automate it.

The basic idea is to make a ton of sites owners think you are visiting them from your site…as if you had a link or post about it. Many of those site owners may be curious when they look at their referral stats and wonder why your site sent them “traffic” (which is just you, controlling the referral URL). So because your site will show up in their stats you will likely get a lot of traffic from those curious site owners. if you target your stumble niche then it will be targeted traffic. Adding autoit to the loop does the same thing but automated the actual stumble surfing so you just set it and let it visit a few thousand sites, dropping your referral url all along, over night or something. The added bonus is some of the sites will also list their referrals onsite which links back to you.

  13. Wes Mahler Says:

intersting lol, thanks none. [for lack of better SN to refer to you bylol]

  14. SEO Videos Says:

Yes It will be great, If some one can share the proggie with noobs like me.

  15. nickycakes Says:

wtf proggie are you talking about dude

  16. none Says:

I’m not sure what proggie SEO videos is asking for but what I was asking for was your code/script for the autoit. I’ve been trying but can’t figure out how to get it to do anything, let alone do my stumbling for me lol.

  17. nickycakes Says:

Maybe you should come to my IRC channel (click the Cakes Chat link at the top for more info) and someone can help you out if you ask nice =)

  18. Jason Says:

Can Rock or anyone else elaborate on how to do this with a Mac?

“Just wanted to add, for anyone wanting to do it with a Mac. RefControl + Automator + Automator Virtual Input = $$$$$$”

I’m trying to get it to work but haven’t been able to pull it off yet. Also, do I need to buy Automator Virtual Input in order for it to work properly?

  19. cranberries Says:

Cool idea! I run mac but got run windows on a virtual machine with Parallels. I wrote a sweet little autoit script I’ll be running daily for a trial run.

Any idea if Stumbleupon will cut me off for abusing its service?

Also, when should I start seeing traffic benefits?

  20. cranberries Says:

Update: banned by Stumbleupon after a few days of following this strategy.

  21. Nico Granelli Says:

Maybe adding various stumeble users and iterating through a list of proxys.

But one thing I don’t understand: the idea is to stumble their sites or my site?

  22. Agila Says:

using prstorm is much easier ;)

  23. xentech Says:

“Maybe adding various stumeble users and iterating through a list of proxys.

But one thing I don’t understand: the idea is to stumble their sites or my site?”

Missed the boat completely there pal. lol

  24. Mario Says:

There is one problem with RefControl, I discovered yesterday: If a website is using Google Maps, you get an error message from Google that has to be close by clicking the OK button.

If you write such a script you have to reckon with this.

  25. Anon Says:

Add TOR to this and you have a winner.

  26. Timbo Says:

I am trying out PRStorm instead. When doing referrer spoofing why not use a social media link like your video at YouTube.com or Metacafe that links back to your keep your own link out of the spam mix. Also use a Wireless Cafe to Reffer Spoof and not your own ISP.

  27. Dan Says:

I’ve got a little tip for the clicks, instead of ‘autoit’ use the following:

    http://www.bestsoftwarecenter.com/autoclick-22_3.html

    Works wonders!

Now I’ve helped you out do anyone have any suggestions on good products to have as your refferal?

    Thanks

  28. James from FaceySpacey.com Says:

The stumbleupon part can be interchanged with a little effort in building a list of niche-specific sites, or having a list constantly built and cued for u or whatever.

But what should be done differently is that you visit the same sites over and over again, switching your proxies so that the webmasters are more compelled to check out your site. Getting 400 visits from one site is more likely to draw attention then just 1 visit.

So basically maintain a list. Forget Stumbleupon.
