If you're looking for something upscale (jacket required) and have a few hours to spare for dinner, and well over $100/person after wine (dinner), Le Bernardin is pretty close to the hotel. http://www.yelp.com/biz/le-bernardin-new-york-2 and http://www.le-bernardin.com/ for your reference. I've eaten there two or three times before, and the meals and service have been amazing.

Unfortunately I don't know of really anything else in the area, as most of my time spent in NYC has revolved around eating cheap in the East Village this summer.

Like Ruck said, we will have to meet up and grab a drink or something. I am down here in Florida cheering for the Rays as they are not looking so hot tonight!

For those on a budget, who want quality, Becco, a mid-priced Italian in the West 40s is a good bet. Their all you can eat $22 pasta dinner is a winner.

BECCO, 355 W. 46th St. (bet. 8th & 9th Aves.) New York, NY, 10036 (212) 397-7597 (reservations suggested, this place is popular)
